The mission of San Ysidro Health Center (SYHC) is to improve the health and well-being of our community’s traditionally underserved and culturally diverse people. SYHC provides compassionate and innovative care to over 92,000 patients through a vast and integrated network of program sites including: medical clinics, dental clinics, behavioral health centers, HIV centers, WIC nutrition centers, mobile medical units, school-based health centers, chiropractic care, Pediatric Developmental Clinic, Teen Clinic, Senior Health Center and Program of All Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) Center.

Details: Founded in 1970, Family Health Centers of San Diego is dedicated to providing caring, affordable, high-quality health care and support services to all people, with a special commitment to the uninsured, low-income and medically underserved. We are the largest community clinic provider of health care to the uninsured in Southern California and one of the top 10 largest community clinic organizations in the country. Everyone is welcome at our health centers! We accept Medi-Cal, insured and uninsured patients. Many patients qualify for programs that will cover the cost of their care. No patient will be turned away based on an inability to pay.
Details: Casa De Milagros is tucked away in a quiet corner of Southcrest, accommodating up to 18 women in a sprawling home, offering semi-private rooms. MAAC’s Recovery Homes are drug and alcohol free communities staffed seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Most resident rooms are double-occupancy while common living areas include the kitchen and dining rooms, community room and a spacious courtyard. Meals are enjoyed family-style, allowing residents to build rapport with one another. The community living environment provide an added benefit to the program structure; residents share household responsibilities such as cooking, cleaning, front desk reception and activity scheduling. The rotating assignments promote accountability and help form positive habits upon transition to employment and/or a new home. Residents are expected to participate in, and benefit from, comprehensive services geared towards recovery and self-sufficiency.
Details: Specializing in treatment and behavioral therapies for developmental delays, providers in our Healthy Development Services department offer screenings, assessments and ongoing therapy to promote healthy development in children up to 5 years old. Whether helping with typical development or more severe concerns, our staff is dedicated to providing early supportive experiences for children, parents and caregivers.

Details: One of our newest health centers, FamilyHealth on Commercial is a health clinic that partners housing with health care. Bridge Housing along with Civic San Diego, MAAC Project, San Diego Housing Commission, SDUSD and the California Department of Housing and Community Development all joined forces to develop Paseo at COMM22. Family Health Centers of San Diego was invited to work with them on this amazing development! Paseo at COMM22 offers 130 units of affordable housing and consists of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments; 13 one-bedroom apartments of supportive housing; and Victoria at COMM 22, a 70-unit affordable housing property for seniors. The clinic provides pediatrics, adult medicine, women’s services, health education and a host of supportive services. Referrals for a higher level of care, if needed, can be conveniently made to our nearby Logan Heights Family Health Center.
Details: A school-based health clinic operated by Family Health Centers of San Diego, Sherman Heights Family Health Center is located in Central San Diego on the campus of Sherman Elementary School. It offers a number of vital health care services for parents, students and the surrounding neighborhood, including physicals, sick visits and vaccinations.
Details: Our flagship location, Logan Heights Family Health Center, offers an extensive array of health care services for all individuals regardless of income level. Many of our programs, including Patient Care Support Services and Prenatal Education, are housed in the Logan Heights facility, in addition to an in-house pharmacy and vision, dental and walk-in clinics. Located in historic Barrio Logan, this clinic is rooted in Family Health Centers of San Diego’s history and has set the foundation for our legacy of providing quality health care to communities across San Diego County!
Details: Established as a health care resource for teenagers and young adults (ages 12 to 24), Teen Health Center is located on the campus of City College of San Diego and provides a number of important health care services, including peer education, vaccinations, acute care and sexually transmitted disease screening and treatment. Please enter through the main entrance at 1550 Broadway, Suite 2 and check-in with the receptionist on the left. The lobby of the Teen Health Center will be located to the right.
Details: The Village Family Health Center provides integrated physical and behavioral healthcare, including a full spectrum of primary care, pediatrics, psychiatry, dental care, case management and more. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), most of our services are available at no cost to most patients.
