Details: Community-University Health Care Center (CUHCC) opened its doors in 1966 to provide primary care services to children and low income families in South Minneapolis. CUHCC is a federally qualified health center and also a department within the University of Minnesota's Academic Health Center. The clinic offers medical, dental, mental health, advocacy, legal, and other programs. CUHCC serves nearly 11,500 patients a year through over nearly 60,000 visits annually. The patient population comes from over 12 different racial and ethnic groups that span five continents.

Details: In May 2016, we opened Mary’s Place Minute Clinic to help the families in our shelter access basic medical services. Volunteer Doctors and Nurses provide treatment for acute illnesses and minor injuries, administer influenza vaccinations, and coordinate care for complex or chronic conditions. Having an on-site, walk-in medical clinic reduces ER visits and provides convenience and comfort for our homeless families who are in crisis and facing so many challenges.
