SBHCs are open to serve all Omaha Public Schools students as well as their minor siblings aged 2-18 years old, as well as early childhood populations from Head Start, Educare, and ECS Network of Excellence. Any OPS faculty or staff may also be seen at our SBHCs for sick visits or flu vaccines. Details: Charles Drew Health Center operates a mobile dental clinic, “Tooth-Mobile,” to increase access to quality oral healthcare for the children in Northeast and Northwest Omaha. The 30-foot dental mobile unit is a gift from Ruth and Bill Scott with additional funding from the United Way. For a variety of reasons, oral dental care is not always available to all children. To provide this care, the “Tooth-Mobile” staff from Charles Drew Health Center, Inc., including dentists, hygienist, a program manager, drivers and dental assistants, will travel to several elementary schools, community organizations, and Head Start locations in North Omaha to deliver on-site dental services.
