Details: The Mission Lexington Free Dental Clinic began in June of 2006 and the Mission Lexington Free Medical Clinic was launched in December of 2008. Faith Pharmacy was founded in 1999 joined Mission Lexington in 2015. The Mission Lexington Free Vision Clinic began dispensing free prescription eyeglasses with examinations in 2017. When Mission Lexington began, 13% of the population in Fayette County was not covered by health insurance. Over 33,000 people lived without access to affordable health care. Each year for the past 11 years Mission Lexington has almost doubled the amount of patient visits it has been able to provide to Lexington's most vulnerable residents. Behind every statistic there is a moving story, like George, who lost his job because of the condition of his teeth, but was able to get his job back because of the restorative work of the Mission Lexington Dental Clinic. Your support is vital to the success of Mission Lexington. All clinics are currently seeking compassionate patient-care and clerical professionals who want to volunteer.

Our mission is to assume a leadership role in improving the health and well-being of the uninsured adult population in Lexington by providing free medical services and increasing awareness of local health care resources.

Details: The Refuge Clinic operates as an expression of Christ and seeks to connect the hurting to health. We recognize that every life has infinite value and worth and aim to make true health obtainable physically, spiritually, and mentally for those we serve. Refuge Ministries, Inc. was identified as a non-profit in 2007 with a vision to provide medical and dental care to the uninsured in Fayette and Jessamine Counties. We have now now served over 3500 patients amounting to over $8,000,000 in free care to the community. What started as a vision to provide basic medical and dental care has now expanded to include comprehensive primary medical care, oral surgery, physical therapy, diabetes education, nutrition counseling, gynecological care, psychiatric care, and counseling to both the uninsured and underinsured in our communities.
