Details: Chesapeake Health Care is a multidisciplinary healthcare practice serving Somerset, Wicomico, and Worcester counties. Approximately 100 providers are on staff to provide healthcare to the region’s patients in the following disciplines: Adult and Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Urogynecology, Mental Health, Dental, and Pharmacy. Chesapeake Health Care has locations in Pocomoke, Princess Anne, and Salisbury, Maryland. Healthcare is extended to individuals who are uninsured, underinsured, and insured. Details: Since 1998, Proyecto Salud has provided medical services to the low-income, uninsured adults at its Wheaton location. One of the characteristic that makes Proyecto Salud Wheaton unique is its flexible and convenient schedules for services. The clinic is open on regular hours, evening and Saturdays. Proyecto Salud aims for an effective implementation of preventive care through programs that facilitate patients’ access to different level of quality care. It is important for the clinic (Wheaton and Olney), to improve and assure patients’ access to medical resources that otherwise will not be available for patients that lack private health insurance.

Details: Our Mission: To provide comprehensive health care for those who cannot afford commercial insurance, yet do not qualify for government assistance. Since 1991, volunteer-driven Shepherd’s Clinic has been an innovator in providing health care for the uninsured. Provided services are available to patients living in nine zip codes (21211, 21212, 21213, 21214, 21215, 21218, 21234, 21239, and 21206) in North Baltimore through the time, energy, and spirit of hundreds of dedicated volunteers. Patients are asked to donate the equivalent of one hour’s wage for an office visit or $9.00 if they are currently unemployed. All clinic patients (ages 19-64) fall under 200% of poverty and most are either working or live in a household with an employed individual.
