Located in Southwest Yonkers, the Center was established in 1987 to serve the increasing number of Yonkers residents who were accessing medical services at the Mount Vernon Neighborhood Health Center. The Health Center’s mission is to provide quality, primary, comprehensive, and affordable health care to the medically underserved residents of the community. The Center was first accredited in 1998 by the Joint Commission of Accreditation of Health Care Organization and currently maintains its Joint Commission status. Medicaid and Medicare insurances are accepted in addition to most private insurances. A sliding fee scale is available for those who are uninsured; however, no one is refused services due to their inability to pay. The Center is staffed with bilingual professional and support staff.
