Details: East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) is a private, non-profit 501 (c) (3) corporation that provides a wide array of health and human services to the residents of Rhode Island’s east bay including the municipalities of East Providence, Barrington, Warren, Bristol, Little Compton, Tiverton, Portsmouth, Middletown, Newport and Jamestown. As part of special contract obligations some of EBCAP’s programs serve residents outside of the east bay area. The Community Health Centers provide affordable health care to Newport County, Bristol County and East Providence residents

Details: We provide free, high quality medical care to uninsured adults living in Rhode Island. Our clinic, in Providence offers culturally sensitive, personalized care. We speak: Spanish, French, Arabic, Creole and a little Italian. All of our care is provided by volunteers. We leverage the altruism of our 50+ medical volunteers and we partner with: medical schools, hospitals and community organizations. We provide continuous primary care to almost 1,500 enrolled patients. We serve thousands more through our walk in clinic, health screens and health education programs.

Details: The Rhode Island Free Clinic’s mission is to provide free, comprehensive medical care and preventive health services to adults who have no health insurance and cannot afford those services; and, to serve as an educational training site for health care professionals. Care is provided through a dynamic statewide network of volunteer medical providers working with academic, medical, and community partners, leveraging robust health care resources with a vitality that is unmatched in Rhode Island. To become a patient at the RI Free Clinic you must be a RI resident, 18 or older, who lacks employer-provided health insurance or who cannot afford to purchase those services on your own. Becoming a patient at the RI Free Clinic is a three-step process: You must attend a monthly lottery for new patients; Have your ticket chosen at the lottery; You must meet our eligibility requirements
Remarks: We are located at 655 Broad Street in Providence in the Hindle Memorial Building (between St. Joseph’s Hospital and Gallogly Funeral Home), accessible by taking Bus #11 Outbound from Kennedy Plaza. The clinic is on the third floor.
