  • Details: The need for a community dental clinic in Spokane’s East Central neighborhood was first identified in 2015 after meeting with the MLK Jr. Family Outreach Center (formerly the East Central Community Center). It was found that half of Washington’s Medicaid-insured children under 6 do not access dental care and only 33% of 0-2 year olds receive a dental visit. With over 2,000 families accessing services at the existing community center, CHAS Health felt the need to improve the overall health of the East Central neighborhood by expanding access to quality health and wellness services. The East Central Dental Clinic opened on November 23rd, 2020 and offers many dental services such as exams, cleanings and extractions as well as teledentistry and video visits.

  • Details: As CHAS continued to expand in Eastern Washington, a new location was needed to properly serve the Spokane community. After purchasing the property in early 2001, CHAS opened the Maple Street clinic in May of that year and began offering medical and dental services to the public. As the need for affordable health care increased over the years, a new building was added to the complex in 2012. Shortly thereafter, the original building was completely redesigned and upgraded as well. The Maple Clinic continues to serve the Spokane community and sees patients from all corners of the city thanks to its convenient location.
