The Galveston County Health District (GCHD) is a distinct, non-taxing governmental entity. GCHD is a public health district (not to be confused with a taxing hospital district), addressing the ten (10) essential public health functions outlined in state statute. As a district, the public health services under GCHD's umbrella are governed by a policy-making board, the Galveston County United Board of Health (UBOH). Representative board members are appointed by Galveston County and cities. It is important to note that UBOH members do not oversee Coastal Health & Wellness (the primary care services also under GCHD's umbrella) which have a separate governing board by federal funding requirements.

Latest Reviews, Comments, Questions for Toksook Bay Sub-Regional ClinicComment from libbylou4u: I love going to 4C's when I need medical help, espeically after IKE hit they good care of me I still had on a neck brace after my spinal surgery and they did everthing to make sure I was taken good care of until they could find a doctor who could help with what was going on with me. I will always give 4C's five stars. They do a great job with the small staff they have, you might have to wait or even have to come back in the morning but they will see you no matter what so if you need to see a doctor go to 4C's they will help you and if they can't they will find some one who can.....thans 4C's for all you have done for me....
Comment from Naaman: I went to the 4 c’s two weeks ago, paid 50 dollars and saw the doctor about a hearing issue and prostate. She asked me to return in two weeks to follow up and check the prostate. On the follow up visit they are demanding another 50 dollars for what should have been taken care of the first visit, as well as the hearing issue has not been resolved. I don’t have 50 dollars to pay again especially for something that was put off by the doctor. If I had money to pay for the initial visit and 50 for all the follow up visits the doctor wanted I would have insurance. Very disappointed
