Details: The Bergen Volunteer Medical Initiative, Inc., is a volunteer nonprofit organization providing free primary and preventive medical care to low-income working people in Bergen County without insurance or the means to pay for care. BVMI is the only state licensed ambulatory care facility in the county that offers free healthcare for individuals whose income is 100 to 200 percent of the Federal Poverty guidelines and are not eligible for government funded health insurance. Patients are seen by appointment at the Center located at 241 Moore Street, Hackensack, NJ.
