  • Clinic Details: The KIDS Mobile Medical Clinic/Ronald McDonald Care Mobile is under the direction of the Division of Community Pediatrics, which is part of the Department of Pediatrics at Georgetown University Hospital, a MedStar Health Partner. We are a not-for-profit 501(c) 3 program. The KIDS Mobile Medical Clinic - Ronald McDonald Care Mobile staff is a dynamic team of healthcare professionals dedicated to providing quality services to children, adolescents and families. This team is truly greater than the sum of its parts, and includes doctors, nurses, social service providers and an administrative support team. During the last few years, our program has diversified and expanded our relationships. Last year, with the very generous support of partners and collaborators like Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Washington DC, CVS/Caremark Charitable Trust, The Joseph E. & Marjorie B. Jones Foundation, the Michele Snyder Foundation, the Clark-Winchcole Foundation, and the W. O’Neill Foundation, we have been able to bring more services to more children in need. All children ages 0-21 are eligible for our program whether or not they have medical insurance. Additionally, we also treat patients who have Medicaid coverage, but who do not have a regular doctor or pediatric clinic. There are no out-of-pocket expenses to patients or their families. Five days a week, the bright white KIDS Mobile Medical Clinic - Ronald McDonald Care Mobile drives into federally designated health professional shortage areas (HPSAs) and offers comprehensive general pediatric health care services at five different sites and comprehensive adolescent health care services at a two additional sites. The first four sites are located near seven public housing areas with an estimated 2,000 underserved children. Our fifth site is located at an Emergency Homeless Shelter. Our fifth and sixth sites, which serves two public high schools with an estimated 1,800 students, is dedicated to providing comprehensive adolescent health care.
