In 2007, the PCPFHF health center at Slaughter Elementary School began as a school nurse clinic in a new but quite small modular building purchased by the East Feliciana School Board. The clinic “upgraded” the building in 2011 and increased the 2011 floor space to over 2000 square feet. Today, the clinic has a nurse practitioner and social worker and provides primary care and mental health services to the students, parents, and faculty of Slaughter Elementary and the community. Dental services are provided on site on a rotating schedule. The clinic accepts Medicaid, Medicare, and most commercial insurances. We also offer a sliding fee scale based on income level and family size and accept major credit cards or cash as payment. We provide lab services on site including Urine Drug Screens.
