At Elica Health Centers, “Healing with Heart” is more than just a slogan - it is the guiding principle behind everything we do. We are proud of our roots, which trace back to 1979 and the establishment of a small group practice that served the primary care needs of the region's emerging immigrant communities.  Today, Elica stands as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), a designation given by the Federal government to community-based clinics that meet a rigorous set of requirements. Our mission is to provide high quality, affordable health care through the operation of professional and compassionate health homes for underserved populations,  who are confronted with barriers to accessing care. Elica boasts a network of eight health center facilities located in both Sacramento and West Sacramento, which collectively provide services for nearly 20,000 individuals who account for over 70,000 visits annually.  Approximately 10% of Elica's patients receive care outside our clinic walls through the Wellness Outside Walls (WOW) initiative, which includes our Street Medicine and Health on Wheels (HOW) programs.
