Clinic Details:Central City Concern’s Hooper Detoxification Stabilization Center (often referred to as Hooper Detox) provides both inpatient and outpatient withdrawal management and stabilization services for people seeking treatment for substance use disorders. Hooper Detox offers quality medical and clinical services, including a detailed history and physical, clinical assessment, peer support, care coordination, 24-hour nursing and milieu support, and transition planning. We also offer inpatient and outpatient induction services for people seeking Medication Supported Recovery for opioid use disorder. Hooper Detox services are designed to assist with complex care needs and special populations. We welcome people seeking withdrawal management with the following care needs: Pregnancy; Benzodiazapines; Opiates, alcohol, and/or stimulants; Methadone; Diabetes, hypertension, or other medical conditions. Many of the staff at Hooper are in recovery themselves and have experienced the challenges that come with withdrawal and early stabilization. They serve as reminders that recovery is possible and often provide the first rays of hope for the long journey ahead.

The clinic receives support not only from Central City Concern’s Old Town Clinic, but also from Multnomah County, Home Forward, and Transition Projects, Inc. Bud Clark Commons is a housing resource that offers a day-time resource center and a men’s overnight shelter, run by Transition Projects. It also offers a permanent supportive housing program for vulnerable homeless people operated by Home Forward.

Located in the heart of the Old Town Chinatown neighborhood, Old Town Clinic offers many patients all the care they need in a single location.
