Details: In 1982, The Sisters of the Holy Cross and Saint Agnes Medical Center saw the need and joined together to create the Holy Cross Clinic at Poverello House. The clinic provides free medical and dental services to the poor and homeless of our community. Clients may pick up a medical ticket from Poverello House at 11 a.m. Monday - Friday and 6 a.m. for a dental ticket, dates vary please call for exact dental dates (559) 498-6988. The clinic staff includes a full-time Nurse Practitioner. The rest of the medical team is made up of dedicated Saint Agnes staff and volunteers who donate their time to fill this crucial need in the community. Last year there were nearly 5,500 medical exams and 1,000 dental visits at the clinic. The clinic is open Monday - Friday from 1-5 p.m. and when other specialty medical and dental services are available. Those who volunteer include: Physicians, dentists, nurses, physical therapists, hygienists, translators, clerical personnel, nursing students, pre-med students and medical assistants.

BCH clinics are distinctive in their ability to provide easily accessible integrated health care to assist all patients in addressing and treating their general health concerns, as well as their substance use and behavioral health disorders if present. BCH focuses primarily on providing low cost primary care & preventative services to underserved populations. We welcome patients who are participating in an integrated BAART substance use disorder program, as well as those who are simply seeking quality, affordable health care.
