Today, Elica stands as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), a designation given by the Federal government to community-based clinics that meet a rigorous set of requirements. Our mission is to provide high quality, affordable health care through the operation of professional and compassionate health homes for underserved populations, who are confronted with barriers to accessing care. Elica is a network of eight health center facilities located in both Sacramento and West Sacramento, which collectively provide services for 24,000 individuals who account for over 70,000 visits annually. Approximately 10% of Elica's patients receive care outside our clinic facilities through the Wellness Outside Walls (WOW) initiative, which includes our Street Medicine and Health on Wheels (HOW) programs.
