Clinic Details:Camarena Health, formerly El Concilio De Madera, incorporated in 1978 and opened its doors in September of 1980 in a renovated facility with a modest practice of 1,500 medical patients. In the beginning, our services consisted of primary health care and health education for perinatal patients. Over the last 30-plus years we have grown to become one of the largest local community-based health care providers, offering both medical and dental services to over 27,000 patients in five state of the art facilities. During our first year of operation, we saw 1,500 patients with a total of 4,400 encounters. By 2002 we provided 53,860 encounters to more than 14,000 registered patients and in 2012 the center provided 127,036 encounters to more than 27,269 patients.
Details: TVHC’s Youth Health Services Department provides free and low-cost care to students on-campus at several school sites in Central and Southern Alameda County. We have full-service school health centers at James Logan High School in Union City and Tennyson High School in Hayward. These health centers are a low-cost, safe and convenient place for any student to receive the medical and mental health care they need to succeed in school and become productive members of their community. A student who is tired, sick, suffering from asthma, stressed, depressed or scared often experiences academic performance issues as a result and an increased risk of dropping out of school. Much like our main community-based health centers, our school health centers advocate holistic health care, paying careful attention to the dynamic relationship between mind, body, and spirit. Our primary objective is to make important health and wellness information more readily accessible to youth and provide an effective tool for them to take control of their own well-being.

We care for people who do not qualify or cannot afford the ACA and have no insurance. We do this by engaging volunteer doctors, nurses, therapists, support staff, interpreters and other community members who have a passion for our mission and demonstrate the “Culture of Caring” on which the VIM Clinic was founded.
Details: La Clinica's Dental Care Mobile began delivering dental services in March 2004. The dental care mobile has two fully-equipped dental operatories and we provide a broad spectrum of dental screenings and oral health care services. We serve children in low-income communities by operating in elementary schools, preschools and youth rehab facilities. Our staff consists of one general dentist, two registered dental assistants, a driver, a scheduling coordinator and a supervisor, all taking great joy in providing services to under served children. We are very happy to put a smile on the faces of children that otherwise might not have access to dental care.
Details: Santa Clara Valley Medical Center (SCVMC) is the community’s health care safety net - in more ways than one. County residents with no medical coverage or ability to pay can get needed care, but SCVMC is also the “safety net” for every resident of our community because of the high-quality, specialized services provided. Treatment for emergency medical care, trauma, burns and rehabilitation are just a few of the specialized treatments provided - in some cases the only such treatment in the region.
Details: The mission of Northeast Valley Health Corporation is to provide quality, safe and comprehensive primary health care to medically underserved residents of Los Angeles County, particularly in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita valleys, in a manner that is sensitive to the economic, social, cultural and linguistic needs of the community.
Details: Since the expansion of La Clinica Pittsburg Dental in 2009, we have doubled in patient capacity and have grown from two dental procedure rooms to 11. We believe access to dental care is a key component of primary health services. We provide a full scope of primary oral health care with a strong emphasis on prevention and education. Recently, we have added several programs to expand our scope of services, and raise the quality of care to our patients. These programs include in house advanced specialty care including on-site specialists in pediatrics, prosthodontic, periodontist, and oral surgery.
