About this clinic

Catherine’s Health Center is a non-profit, community-based health facility helping address the need for access to quality healthcare for those who have nowhere else to go. Catherine’s is a “safety net” clinic practicing family medicine. We provide health education, screening, treatment and referrals to uninsured, under-insured and under-served residents of Greater Grand Rapids. When necessary, we help patients overcome obstacles within the broader health care delivery system. We are deeply rooted in the community of Northeast Grand Rapids and connected to local institutions. Our staff includes volunteers from area schools offering medical studies as well as board-certified professionals who offer their gifts in service of the community. Catherine’s is named for Sister Catherine McAuley, the founder of the Sisters of Mercy, whose example of giving inspires our work.
