Valleywise Community Health Center - Chandler is centrally-located right off of Pecos Rd. and McQueen Rd., and we’re ready to care for you and your family at all stages of life. This location offers a full array of general care services for all ages, including primary care, dental care and pediatrics. We also offer screening and preventive care services for those in need of labs, medical imaging, pharmaceuticals and more. This is definitely NOT low-income of no insurance friendly. I called to find out the cost of a Well Women's check which usually costs around $200 at a regular Gyn but the lady here told me if I didn't have insurance it would cost "About $500-600". I asked if she was sure since it was listed as a low-income friendly, and she said she was sure. That's 4x the cost of a regular doctor's fees! WTF

Is this clinic actually free?

What if I have no income at all?

What should I bring to a first visit?
Usually a photo ID, something showing your address, proof of income or a self-declaration, your insurance or Medicaid card if you have one, and a written list of your current medications and doses. Call ahead — requirements vary, and arriving without the right paperwork is the most common reason a first visit gets rescheduled.
Do I need insurance, or immigration documents?
Federally funded health centers serve patients regardless of insurance status and do not require proof of citizenship to provide care. Volunteer and charitable clinics set their own rules. If it matters to you, ask before your visit what they require and what they record.
Is dental care included?
Usually not, and this is the single most common disappointment. Dental is frequently a separate program with its own eligibility, its own waiting list, and a narrower service list — extractions and urgent pain may be covered while fillings, crowns, root canals, and dentures are not. Confirm that dental is offered at this specific location before travelling.
Can I get a prescription refilled here?
Most clinics require an appointment before they will refill anything, and a first appointment can be weeks out. If you are close to running out of a medication you cannot safely stop, say so when you call — say the medication name and how many days you have left. Ask your pharmacy at the same time; pharmacists can sometimes authorise a short emergency supply.
What if I need care today?
