Details: Morehouse Community Medical Centers, Inc. (MCMC) is a not-for-profit Community Health Center (CHC) located in Bastrop, Louisiana, in Morehouse Parish. This health center receives HHS funding and has Federal Public Health Service (PHS) deemed status with respect to certain health or health-related claims, including medical malpractice claims, for itself and its covered individuals. Established in 2002, MCMC received a federal grant in September 2007 to provide care to the uninsured in the original clinic in Bastrop, and serve the residents of Morehouse Parish. The number of clinics has since grown to eight, covering Mer Rouge, Marion, a dedicated pediatric clinic in Bastrop, as well as four school-based health centers.

Details: Since 2009, Trinity CHC has been providing affordable access to quality healthcare for people living in and around Central Louisiana. Trinity CHC is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). We are funded in part by the Federal Department of Health & Human Services because our area was shown to be an area with unmet medical needs. FQHCs were specifically created to respond to the health care needs of people limited access to care because of their income, their medical condition, or because of the existence of healthcare professional shortages.

As a recipient of a 330 CHC grant, the Center began receiving Bureau of Primary Health Care funding in 1984. The Center operates facilities in Lake Charles, Lafayette, Crowley and Oberlin, Louisiana.
