Clinic Details:The Outpatient Perinatal Program provides counseling and referrals to clients with substance abuse and mental health problems. The Program is staffed by bilingual and drug-certified counselors and provides services for women who are pregnant, postpartum or parenting. The program assists clients in areas including domestic violence/sexual abuse, self-esteem, peer support, life skills, health education, drug education, 12 step/relapse, and parenting who receive treatment rather than incarceration.

Northeast Valley Health Corporation (NEVHC) continues to assist in the fight against the spread of HIV/AIDS. Currently, servicing more than 750 patients, NEVHC provides more than 2,000 HIV tests each year. Early medical care and treatment is important. HIV screenings are available at all NEVHC health centers, and treatment is provided at Van Nuys Adult Health Center. STI screenings and services are available at all health centers. All services are provided in a confidential and personal setting.

Remarks: Medical services are available to students attending the following schools: San Fernando High School, Mission Continuation High School and McAlister High School. Dental services are available for all children ages 6 months to 21 years.
