Details: The overriding goal of the Akwaaba Health Initiative is to enhance access to health care and improve health outcomes for vulnerable populations in the city of Worcester. The specific objectives of the clinic include: To provide medical care and assessment for populations that are not presently receiving health care due to insurance and income problems, immigration status or actual and perceived cultural barriers; To connect these patients- particularly those with chronic conditions- to continuous means of care outside the clinic as soon as possible, in part by addressing concerns over the feasibility of accessing community health centers and primary care physicians; To emphasize the role of preventative care within these communities; To connect patients with presently available social services that may be underutilized, including MassHealth; To involve members of the targeted population in the operation of the clinic as much as possible; To provide culturally competent care

Details: St. Anne's Free Medical Program, led by Dr. John Howland and a team of healthcare professionals, has been providing free healthcare to the underserved and uninsured of the greater Worcester area since 1996.
Details: The mission of Edward M. Kennedy Community Health Center (Kennedy CHC) is to “help people live healthier lives.” We believe that everyone has a right to accessible, high quality, comprehensive, integrated and compassionate health care. As a community health center, Kennedy CHC has always provided comprehensive care to its patients, who are at disparate risk for chronic disease and poor health outcomes. Details: ACTION (Accessible, Comprehensive Treatment In Our Neighborhoods) Health Services has its own home! ACTION Community Health Center opened in January 2018. The new center offers accessible and affordable healthcare available to all in the community. Services include primary medical care for all ages, preventive and restorative dental services, and behavioral health counseling. ACTION CHC will also connect patients to additional services, such as optometry, podiatry, and substance use disorder treatment located up the hill at Fitchburg Community Health Center.
Details: We began in 2002 as one primary care practice in Fitchburg providing medical services to the underserved. Community Health Connections was recognized as the place to find compassionate care, regardless of income or insurance status. We have greatly expanded in reach and scope to offer a wide range of services and care for individuals and families of all ages and incomes. Accessibility, compassion and quality remain at our core. Community Health Connections accepts most commercial insurance plans, MassHealth and Health Safety Net. A Sliding Fee Discount Program is available for those who qualify. Community Health Connections is a federally-qualified health center and licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
Details: The Indian Medical Association of New England, along with the India Society of Worcester, provide the needed health care for the underserved and uninsured in our community every Wednesday from 6 pm to 8 pm at the India Center. The Free Health Stop is staffed by volunteer physicians, social workers, dieticians and members of the India Society of Worcester. We are looking for volunteer physicians associated with the UMass Medical School system.
Details: The mission of the Worcester Evening Free Medical Service Program is to extend outreach and service to the greater Worcester community by providing a free medical services walk-in program for individuals and families who do not have or cannot afford health/medical insurance.
