About this clinic

La Clínica del Pueblo is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and Federally Qualified Health Center with over 90 employees and 50 volunteers dedicated to its mission “to build a healthy Latino community through culturally appropriate health services, focusing on those most in need.” Founded in 1983 as a free health clinic for Latino immigrants recently displaced by conflict, today La Clínica is known throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area as a dependable source of integrated health care and health education for over 8,000 men, women and children.

I have about $1,000 worth of medical supplies I don't need. I 'm looking for a non-profit I can donate them to. I have 80 Calcium Alginate Dressings with Silver 4in x 4in, I have 65 Alginate Wound Dressing 4in x 8 in (Latex Free), and I have 110 Non-Adhesive Super Absorbent Wound Dressing (all sterial) in which I would like to donate. I also have other things. Are you a non-profit I can get a receipt for so I can the write this stuff off on my taxes at the end of the year?

Can I get a prescription refilled here?
Most clinics require an appointment before they will refill anything, and a first appointment can be weeks out. If you are close to running out of a medication you cannot safely stop, say so when you call — say the medication name and how many days you have left. Ask your pharmacy at the same time; pharmacists can sometimes authorise a short emergency supply.
What if I need care today?
