Clinic Details:Mom's Clinic is a school based health center (SBHC) located in Hamden High School. A SBHC is exactly what the name implies: a center for health care in school! It provides primary and preventive healthcare for any Hamden high school student, once parental permission is granted. (It is not just for girls!). Mom’s Clinic is operated by the Quinnipiack Valley Health District, the public health department for Hamden. It is supported by a grant from the state of Connecticut. It is a “guest” in the house of the school.
Services:Diagnosis, treatment and follow-up for acute illnesses and injuries; Health assessments; Immunizations; Screening and laboratory tests; Health education/promotion; Crisis intervention; Psychosocial assessments; Individual, group and family counseling
