Clinic Details:The South Boston Community Health Center is a full service health care facility that has been serving the South Boston community since 1972. With a staff of over 150, the Health Center provides over 60,000 service visits a year to almost half of South Boston’s population. We currently provide these services from a two building, modern facility in the heart of the neighborhood. The South Boston Community Health Center is a private, 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, governed by a community-based board of directors. The mission of the Health Center is to provide health care to the entire community while ensuring care to those most in need. Our governing principle is "all who seek care are welcome here." Our services include Pediatrics, Adult Medicine, Family Medicine, Dental, Eye, Radiology, Mammography, Pharmacy and specialty services that include Podiatry, Dermatology, Cardiology and Pulmonology. The Health Center is associated with the best hospitals in the world, with Boston Medical Center being our primary affiliation. We are also affiliated with Partners HealthCare (Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital) and Tufts Medical Center.
Pediatric Services:Routine physicals, same day visits for urgent problems and follow up appointments for chronic problems such as asthma, as well as telephone advice for a sick or injured child
Women's Health Services:Obstetrics Services; Pregnancy check ups; Pap smear; Endometritis screening; Cervical Cancer screening; HPV screening
Adult Medicine:Screening For Cancer; Diabetes; Hypertension and Other Chronic Diseases; Cholesterol Screening; Counseling On Healthy Lifestyles; Immunizations

Details: For over 50 years, the Geiger Gibson Community Health Center has provided medical, dental and behavioral health services to residents in Dorchester and the surrounding areas. Conveniently located between the UMass Boston campus and the JFK/UMass MBTA Red Line station. All Geiger Gibson Community Health Center Physicians and Nurse Practitioners are Board Certified or Board Eligible in their specialty.
