  • Clinic Details: Local schools often refer children with patterns of disruptive behavior and other problems to the Behavioral Health Program. When children do not get help for their poor behavior in the classroom, they often get kicked out of school, falling farther behind, and in turn feel worse about themselves. They feel as though they do not belong, and often turn to gangs and other non-positive activities. Children’s Behavioral Health Services offer individual, family, and group counseling, case management, psychiatric evaluations, and medication support. We serve children up to the age of 18 who are living in or attending school in the communities of Arvin, DiGiorgio, Frazier Park, Lamont, Weedpatch, South Central Bakersfield, and Fresno. Our sites also provide trauma specific therapy services to all youth regardless of diagnosis, impairment, or insurance coverage.
