Comment from Ron F: Went to the dentist at Theodore R. Hendrix Dental Clinic for 11:00 appointment. The appointment was made a month ago. I was to get 6 teeth extracted because of bone disease from a botched Root Canal- Crown. Your office advised me to have the teeth removed for health reasons. I sat in dentist chair with bib on for 1 hour and 50 minutes. Ask how much longer it would be till the dentist came back to work on me and the dentist said, "It could be hours yet cause I'm the only dentist here today and all the other rooms are full and that's just the way it is".
I believe because I am white they treated me poorly. I and my wife are both permanently disabled and would have gone elsewhere if we could afford it.
I would suggest if you don't have the people there to operate the clinic properly to at the very least call the patients to reschedule instead of having them come in and treating them as low class citizens.

Details: The Good Samaritan Clinic is an interdenominational Christian ministry that respects and promotes the dignity of all human life. The clinic provides free primary health and dental care, information, and referral for low income persons who are medically uninsured or underinsured. The care is provided by a wide range of volunteers including medical professionals. Good Samaritan Clinic does not discriminate based on the person’s race, creed, gender, religious affiliation, or other criteria. The clinic serves seven counties (Tuscaloosa, Bibb, Greene, Hale, Pickens, Fayette, and Sumter) and is the only source of free health and dental care in West Alabama. Patients are aged 19-64 years and have little to no health insurance. Good Samaritan Clinic depends on the community to provide services. We have partnerships with more than 50 professional groups that provide additional care at no cost. Funding comes from churches, individuals, foundations and trusts, United Way of West Alabama, and the State of Alabama.
