    • Details: For 27 years, North Coast Health Ministry (NCHM) has been providing healthcare to uninsured people living on Cleveland's West Side. As faith-based charitable health center, we are a bridge to better health for over 2,200 individuals who have no other place to go. With the support of dozens of volunteer physicians and nurses, as well as clerical volunteers, NCHM is able to provide primary health care, specialty referrals, prescription assistance, preventative and chronic disease management, medical tests, and health education to low-income individuals and families. We are grateful that the generosity of others has enabled us to provide essential health services to our neighbors in need. North Coast Health Ministry has achieved recognition as a National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Patient-Centered Medical Home 2011, level 3, becoming the first free clinic in Ohio to attain this distinction. Our patients are people who: Have no health insurance (Health insurance means any form of private insurance, Medicaid (including Spend-Down), Medicare, CareSource, COBRA, etc.); Are living on a limited income (NCHM serves individuals and families earning up to 250% of the Federal Poverty Level)

      The Free Medical Clinic of Greater Cleveland is one of the oldest free clinics in the United States and the largest in Ohio. Established as a hotline in 1970 by a group of people concerned about the health and welfare of young adults, it quickly shifted to a clinic serving the health needs of the community. Since its founding, The Free Clinic has grown from a small clinic based in a rented house to one occupying a new 34,000 square feet building with 52 employees and over 500 active volunteers. The facility, located in University Circle, is equipped with 18 exam rooms, 5 dental chairs, 3 group therapy rooms, a modern laboratory, and an expanded pharmacy.
