Opened in 1998, this center has been successful in making primary healthcare more convenient for residents of northwest and central Fort Lauderdale. Decorated with panoramic wall art painted by Dillard High School performing arts students, equipped with the latest equipment, a spacious atrium, adult and pediatric waiting rooms, the Cora E. Braynon Family Health Center is designed to be pleasing and soothing. The Cora E. Braynon Family Health Center is truly part of the community it serves. Members of the immediate community served on a Planning Committee to provide input into designing available services and the staff also gives health talks at different locations in the community to explain services and how to access them. Under the direction of John Berges, M.D., an experienced staff of physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses and other professional and support personnel are available to provide quality service to all visitors. The Cora E. Braynon Family Health Center features a full service pharmacy, radiology, lab, and a community education classroom as well as exam rooms.
