Since 1976, Florida Community Health Centers Inc. (FCHC) has been considered a leader in Florida’s primary and preventive health care services. Comprehensive health care services are provided through a network of health centers surrounding Lake Okeechobee in South-Central Florida. Our service area encompasses the counties of Hendry, Glades, Okeechobee, St. Lucie, Martin and the western area of Palm Beach County. FCHC has service delivery sites in the cities of Clewiston, Fort Pierce, Indiantown, Moore Haven, Okeechobee, Pahokee, Port St. Lucie and Stuart with FCHC’s Corporate Office centrally located in West Palm Beach, Florida. FCHC is a private, non-profit, tax exempt 501(c) 3, consumer directed corporation which is designated as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), and is accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC). The Corporation was formed in July 1976 to serve the medically indigent and migrant/seasonal farm workers (MSFW) who reside in our service area. Our mission is to provide accessible, cost-effective, high quality and comprehensive primary and preventive health care services to all persons, regardless of their socio-economic circumstances.

St. Petersburg Free Clinic Health Center

Details: The St. Petersburg Free Clinic provides temporary assistance to those requiring help with basic needs such as food, shelter, medical care, limited financial assistance, and referral information. Free Clinic Health Center functions as an urgent care clinic for adults aged 18–64 without private insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and who do not qualify by low income for county health care. 36 professional doctors, 1 acupuncturist, and 35 nurses volunteer their time and services to see patients whose medical needs meet qualifying criteria. Patients who see Health Center doctors and/or the Nurse Practitioner are? assisted with medications for the short term at little or no cost. On a long term basis, patients who qualify are assisted with obtaining? medications through the pharmaceutical Drug Assistance Program (DAP).
Remarks: The Dental Clinic is a program providing uninsured adults with dental hygiene, fillings, and extractions. Volunteer dentists, dental assistants and dental hygienists provide care to patients through one days clinics that are hosted multiple times per month. These one day clinics are hosted in partnership with Pinellas County Dental Association, Pinellas County Health Department and Pinellas Technical College.
The Good Samaritan Free Health Clinic

The Clinic provides routine health care to certain local residents whose income does not exceed 200% of the Federal Poverty Level and are currently medically uninsured and between the ages of 18 and 64.  The Clinic is open Wednesdays from 2:00pm to 7:00pm.
