Clinic Details: Miami-Dade County Public Schools’ (M-DCPS) pregnant adolescents are eligible to attend Continuing Opportunities for Purposeful Education (COPE) Center North which provides middle school through high school level education for pregnant and parenting teenagers. This alternative education center is a school of choice where students elect to attend instead of staying in their home schools during pregnancy and after the birth of their children.

The physical, mental and behavioral health needs of the students are met by a team of professionals working as a part of the Health Connect in Our Schools (HCiOS) initiative. Some services and health teaching/counseling are provided to the faculty, staff and parents/guardians. JTCHC-HCiOS has a Clinical Coordinator and an Administrative Assistant who monitors the program and provides clerical, technical and administrative support.
