About this clinic

Headway Emotional Health Services' mission is to empower people of all ages to live an emotionally healthy life. With nearly 50 years in operation, Headway’s 200 plus dedicated staff in Golden Valley, Richfield, Brooklyn Center and Hopkins provide comprehensive emotional and mental health therapy, counseling and classes to more than 20,000 individuals each year. Originally called Storefront Youth Action, and then The Storefront Group, Headway was founded in 1970 by a group of suburban parents who wanted to help children and families in crisis in their communities. Their goal, still true today, was “to transform lives by providing hope, healing and empowerment through treatment, intervention and education.”
