Details: Our Behavioral Health Program provides mental health services to low-income adults in order to help them with their day-to-day lives. With locations in Bakersfield, Lamont, Delano, Frazier Park and Fresno, psychiatrists, psychologist, clinicians, and therapeutic support staff provide a wide range of behavioral health care. Adult Behavioral Health Services provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, co-occurring capable and specialty mental health services, and comprehensive case management services. We treat adults over the age of 18 who suffer from acute or severe, chronic behavioral health issues or who experience significant impairment in one or more aspects of their life due to a mental illness or co-occurring disorder. We primarily serve adults living in communities of Bakersfield, Arvin, Delano, DiGiorgio, Frazier Park, Fresno, Lamont, McFarland and Weedpatch. The Bakersfield, Delano, Lamont, Arvin, and McFarland Community Health Center sites also provide specific substance abuse services for voluntary and court-ordered individuals seeking relapse prevention and other non-detox addiction services, even if they do not have a qualifying mental health diagnosis. We also provide psychotherapy services to Bakersfield College students on the Bakersfield and Delano campuses, as part of the Clinica Sierra Vista Student Health Center primary care team.
Details: Local schools often refer children with patterns of disruptive behavior and other problems to the Behavioral Health Program. When children do not get help for their poor behavior in the classroom, they often get kicked out of school, falling farther behind, and in turn feel worse about themselves. They feel as though they do not belong, and often turn to gangs and other non-positive activities. Children’s Behavioral Health Services offer individual, family, and group counseling, case management, psychiatric evaluations, and medication support. We serve children up to the age of 18 who are living in or attending school in the communities of Arvin, DiGiorgio, Frazier Park, Lamont, Weedpatch, South Central Bakersfield, and Fresno. Our sites also provide trauma specific therapy services to all youth regardless of diagnosis, impairment, or insurance coverage.
