About this clinic

We are a faith-based Community Mental Health Center that offers individual or family therapy, child and adult psychiatric care and counseling, mental health case management, and In Home Child and Family Services. There are many kinds of counselors, clinicians, and specialists to choose from at LifeCare. We have Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Social Workers, and Licensed Professional Counselors. All LifeCare clinicians have masters degrees in psychology, social work, or counseling and some are licensed for individual practice and are on panels to accept private insurance.

Is this clinic actually free?

What should I bring to a first visit?

Call ahead — requirements vary, and arriving without the right paperwork is the most common reason a first visit gets rescheduled.
Do I need insurance, or immigration documents?
Federally funded health centers serve patients regardless of insurance status and do not require proof of citizenship to provide care. Volunteer and charitable clinics set their own rules. If it matters to you, ask before your visit what they require and what they record.
Is dental care included?
Usually not, and this is the single most common disappointment. Dental is frequently a separate program with its own eligibility, its own waiting list, and a narrower service list — extractions and urgent pain may be covered while fillings, crowns, root canals, and dentures are not. Confirm that dental is offered at this specific location before travelling.
Can I get a prescription refilled here?
Most clinics require an appointment before they will refill anything, and a first appointment can be weeks out. If you are close to running out of a medication you cannot safely stop, say so when you call — say the medication name and how many days you have left. Ask your pharmacy at the same time; pharmacists can sometimes authorise a short emergency supply.
What if I need care today?
