Clinic Details:Located 23 miles south of I-90, White River is a gateway to the Badlands and Rosebud Reservation. Mellette County Community Health Center is located in Mellette County, designated a frontier county with a population density of 1.6 people per square mile. Our highly-skilled Certified Physicians Assistants serve the community by providing Family Medicine Services with support from three physicians in Winner, South Dakota. Additionally, we offer referral and specialty medical services through Telemedicine technology. Mellette County Community Health Center accepts all insurance and offer reduced prices on office visits and all other services provided in the clinic to all individuals and families who qualify through the Sliding Fee Program.

Details: Located in a close knit community, the Howard Community Health Center provides a full range of family medicine. Our providers make on site visits to the Howard Good Samaritan Center and Whispering Winds Assisted Living Center to provide health care to their residents. Community Counseling Services from Madison, SD has staff on site weekly to provide counseling services. The community of Howard is also fortunate to have a pharmacy, physical therapy services and a volunteer ambulance service. Howard Community Health Center accepts all insurance and offer reduced prices on office visits and all other services provided in the clinic to all individuals and families who qualify through the Sliding Fee Program.
Details: Prairie Winds Dental is a fully equipped dental suite consisting of five dental operatories. We offer digital x rays for the three intraoral units and also are equipped with a panoramic/cephlametric x ray unit. The clinic provides a full range of family oral health services including preventative care, restorative and cosmetic dentistry, endodontics, and oral surgery. The dental clinic is staffed with two dentists and two hygienists.
Details: Alcester Dental Clinic began serving the Alcester community in 2015 and became a Horizon Health Care location in 2017, following a merger with allPOINTS Health Services. Alcester Dental Clinic is only open on Thursdays.

The Faith Community Clinic is staffed with two Physician’s Assistants, Alanna Chapman, PA-C, and Valarie Brown, PA-C.

DFMC is an All Women Count provider, State Immunization program participant, and offers a sliding fee discount program. The health center offers monthly “free immunization” clinics, as well as reduced rates for health maintenance screenings at least semi-annually.
