About this clinic

Owsley County Medical Clinic is now a medical practice consisting of one primary care physician, three nurse practitioners, and 20 employees whose mission is to utilize all available resources to provide affordable, quality health care to those persons residing in its service area and especially to those individual residents who are medically under-served. A sliding scale fee program is available to those patients who meet federal guidelines. The sliding scale fee program is based upon the family’s income; patients may receive care at a significantly reduced rate. As a community oriented clinic, we feel it is our duty to see all patients regardless of their ability to pay for services. By providing the sliding scale fee program we assure that all persons are available to receive health care. The clinic also accepts most insurances. The clinic’s motto is to exceed the expectations of the patients we serve. We want patients to believe that we have their best interests at heart, providing a range of care to their entire family. Owsley County Medical Clinic has seen many changes over the years, but our main goal of providing quality health care to our patients will never change. Our mission is to provide state of the art medical services which meet the health care needs of our patients. We are dedicated to the highest professional standards, cost effective quality care and compassionate delivery of services through the cooperative efforts of our physicians and staff. The Owsley County Medical Clinic is an asset to the area as well as a source of pride for Owsley County. Owsley County Medical Clinic has a sliding scale fee payment plan based on current Federal Poverty Guidelines. This ensures quality and affordable health care to everyone in our service area. No one is denied healthcare due to inability to pay. All new patients are welcome.
