Details: Founded in 1991, the Open Door Clinic provides free health care services for adults who are uninsured and underinsured that meet financial eligibility guidelines (up to 300% Federal Poverty Level). Our goal is to provide quality healthcare for patients until they become enrolled in private or public insurance programs and are transitioned to a permanent primary care home.
Details: the VCCU is a 501(c)3 organization whose purpose is to increase access to health care for low income uninsured and underinsured Vermont residents.. The VCCU supports the work of its ten member programs, including six clinics that provide onsite health care, four programs that refer for health care, and two free dental clinics. Membership objectives include meeting quarterly to address common issues and problems, and regular communication with community partners and service providers. The VCCU has developed software allowing for data collection on patient and visit data to evaluate how health care needs across Vermont can best be served. This software is available to other free clinics and can easily be adapted for their use.
