  • Point Roberts Clinic
    • Location: Point Roberts, WA - 98281 | 28 miles away
    • Contact Phone: (360) 945-2580
    • Details: Prior to the Clinic’s opening, it was necessary for residents to travel across 2 international borders to either Blaine (25 miles away) or Bellingham (50 miles away), and back again to access healthcare. With no ferry or bus service, transportation was often a struggle and too often health issues would go untreated. The Point Roberts Clinic was opened in 2003 to serve this remote population. The Point Roberts Public Hospital District (PRPHD) was established by the vote of the community in February, 2005 to oversee the operation of the Clinic. The Hospital District owns this small urgent care and family practice medical clinic currently open three days a week. It employs a physician’s assistant, a medical assistant and a medical office assistant/receptionist. Physician oversight is provided by Mae Lary, MD and Sean Bozorgzadeh MD, of SuperTrack Urgent Care, Bellingham. The Clinic is essential in such a remote area, providing local access to medical care, basic lab services, referrals and the handling of medical emergencies.
