Western Mental Health Center has served residents of Lincoln, Lyon, Murray, Redwood, and Yellow Medicine counties since 1959. The Center is a non-profit corporation governed by a Board of Directors composed of two citizens from each county. Western Mental Health Center is licensed by the Minnesota Department of Human Services and has fully qualified, credentialed staff who offer a variety of mental health services.

Do I need insurance, or immigration documents?

Is dental care included?
Usually not, and this is the single most common disappointment. Dental is frequently a separate program with its own eligibility, its own waiting list, and a narrower service list — extractions and urgent pain may be covered while fillings, crowns, root canals, and dentures are not. Confirm that dental is offered at this specific location before travelling.
Can I get a prescription refilled here?
Most clinics require an appointment before they will refill anything, and a first appointment can be weeks out. If you are close to running out of a medication you cannot safely stop, say so when you call — say the medication name and how many days you have left. Ask your pharmacy at the same time; pharmacists can sometimes authorise a short emergency supply.
What if I need care today?
