Clinic Details:Mountain People’s Heath Councils, Inc. is one of over 1,200 non-profit community-owned health centers in the United States. Community health centers were created to provide primary health care services to communities in need. Health centers are built and run by the communities they serve. Every health center has a local governing board made up primarily of patients of the health center. MPHC makes a difference in Scott and McCreary counties by proving comprehensive service including: internal medicine, family and general practice, laboratory services, x-ray services, family planning, prenatal care, developmental screening, urgent care, immunizations, health education, hearing and vision screening, dental, mental health/substance abuse services and 24 hour call coverage for all of its patients. Proudly serving the healthcare needs of the people of Scott and surrounding counties for more than 40 years, MPHC’s clinics are located in the communities of Norma, Winfield, Huntsville, Elgin, and Oneida. MPHC is very active in the health care community it serves and is working with other local organization to provide the services needed to reduce health disparities in the area.
Details: As a public health agency, we work to promote and protect the health of everyone in our community. We track and monitor diseases, conduct extensive health education and outreach, provide and connect people with care, enforce food safety and air quality laws and regulations, prepare for public health emergencies, and more - all with the goal to ensure the conditions in which every Knox County resident can be healthy. We have nine divisions and employ more than 260 professionals including public health educators, epidemiologists, physicians, environmentalists, nurses, nutritionists, emergency preparedness specialists and many others.

We offer a wide array of comprehensive health services, including primary care, behavioral health, dental, and pharmacy. All of our services are available to children, adults, and seniors who have coverage through private insurance plans, coverage through state programs like TennCare or CoverKids, and those who have no insurance coverage. We proudly offer sliding-fee scales to those who meet certain household size and income guidelines.
Details: For over 36 years, Hope Clinic has been at the forefront of care for women facing the toughest choices combining practical care with a merciful, non-judgmental approach. We put the client first. We equip her. We help all individuals involved choose health. We bring them point to hope and healing with a mind, body, spirit approach. Hope Clinic was founded by a group of community leaders, pastors, priests, physicians and volunteers to meet the unique needs of women in unplanned pregnancies in a safe and confidential environment. We began by offering pregnancy tests, options counseling by trained lay volunteers, and free maternity and baby items. We were founded on the belief that a women’s life should be valued just as highly as the child she carries and we continue to hold to that belief. While our services have expanded through the years, our commitment to her has stayed true.
Details: Free Medical Clinic provides no-charge primary care and wellness services to low-income, uninsured residents of Anderson, Morgan and Roane counties who otherwise would not have access to the medical care they need.
Details: The Helping Hands Clinic, located in Morristown, TN, is a free clinic providing primary healthcare to the people who live or work in Hamblen County and who do not have medical insurance. Since October 2003, the Helping Hands Clinic has been the primary care provider for the uninsured residents and employees of Hamblen County with a household income of less than 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Currently we provide primary care to over 2500 patients at no charge to the patient. We employ one nurse practitioner but apart from that, all the providers at the clinic are volunteers and receive no compensation for their work.
Details: Volunteers in Medicine, Chattanooga, Inc. (VIM Chattanooga) is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) primary care clinic. Volunteer physicians and nurses provide free medical services to financially eligible adults who are uninsured. The mission of the VIM Chattanooga Clinic is to understand and serve the health and wellness needs of the medically underserved in our community by providing quality, compassionate and personalized care in a faith-based caring environment. Our patients are why we exist. And every person we serve, be you a patient or a volunteer, is worth the care we give.
Details: FRIENDS IN NEED Health Center Inc. opened its doors in 1995 when community leaders identified the need for healthcare services for the medically under-served people living and working in the greater Kingsport area. The community agencies involved included Holston Valley Medical Center, Junior League of Kingsport, and several local churches. From those humble beginnings, the organization has grown from 500 patient visits in 1995 to an anticipated 6,700 patient encounters in 2019. To an anticipated 15,000 patient expected in 2020.
Details: The Tennessee Biker Medical Clinic provides quality, affordable health care to a growing number of Biker Families with no health care means at all. The Tennessee Biker Medical Clinic was founded by Pastor Ron Baptiste, Founder and Senior Pastor of Covenant Confirmers Ministries, Inc. in 2006. This ministry contains chapters in other states besides Tennessee and provides not only the ministerial needs of the community but has “support group meetings", Saturday night “Clubhouse” for the teens and now the Tennessee Biker Medical Clinic.
