    • Details: In July 2004, Mountain Comprehensive Health Corporation opened the Harlan Medical Clinic in Harlan, Kentucky. MCHC renovated a former grocery store into a modern health facility. The clinic offers quality Family Practice and OB/GYN medical care with on-site Laboratory, X-ray, and Mammography services as well as a new Optometry department. Our clinic has evolved over the course of three years. It has continued to grow in order to meet the needs of our patients. Our medical providers are all from the local area who have chosen to return here to provide healthcare to their family, friends and home communities. We have many programs that help our patients. We offer the sliding scale fee for those who met the Federal poverty guidelines. We also help our patients who need assistance with the application process of obtaining Black Lung benefits as well as those who need assistance with medications. Our staff is very dedicated to our community and work together to provide the quality healthcare our patients deserve. The Harlan Medical Clinic has a sliding scale fee payment plan based on current Federal Poverty Guidelines. This ensures quality and affordable health care to everyone in our service area. No one is denied healthcare due to inability to pay. All new patients are welcome.
