The Community Free Clinic

- Details: Retired physicians, Dr. George Liles and Dr. David Lockhart, founded the Community Free Clinic in 1994 in an effort to provide the uninsured residents of Cabarrus County access to free healthcare and medications. Since then, the Clinic has outgrown three locations and is presently located at 528A Lake Concord Road, Concord, NC. The Clinic began with volunteer physicians seeing patients during a Night Clinic Program two nights a week. Currently, the Clinic has full time and part time staff, hundreds of volunteers including physicians, nurses, pharmacists, lab technicians and more. Even though the Clinic has gone through many changes over the years, the mission has always been the same - “Keeping People Healthy”.
