  • Details: Established in 1995, the YUGM Medical Care Center is one of only a few clinics in the Yakima Valley devoted to caring for the primary medical needs of people experiencing financial restraints and homelessness. Most of our patients have no health insurance or the ability to pay for health care services - that's why the YUGM Medical Care Center services are provided completely free of charge. The clinic averages more than 14,000 patient visits each year made possible by over 200 volunteer medical professionals. Appointments are not necessary. Our clinic runs on a 'first come, first served' basis. Dental care is a key piece to overall health and restoration, yet many individuals are without insurance or finances to afford vital services. Our Dental Care Center steps in to fill this void. With the help of a faithful group of local dentists and volunteer professionals, we provide full dental services to low-income individuals in our community. Assistance is provided on a sliding fee scale with those in greatest need taking ownership of their care through volunteer service.

New Hope Clinic is a nurse-managed clinic in Yakima, WA and is a program of Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic. The New Hope Clinic provides support and referral services through a Ryan White Part C grant. It provides medical, nursing and dental care, as well as nutrition support, counseling, outreach and mental health care to persons living with HIV/AIDS in Yakima and throughout Central Washington. The mission of YVFWC & New Hope Clinic is to improve the quality of life for farm workers, the underserved, and others as we work to strengthen the health of our communities. The main goal of New Hope Clinic's contract is with the NW AETC’s Minority AIDS Initiative Program to develop and to also provide HIV/AIDS training to clinic providers who primarily serve Latino migrant farm workers with HIV or who are at high risk for HIV infection and have limited access to medical care.
