Clinic Details:Neighborhood Medical Center, a non-profit 501C organization, was founded in 1974. When first starting up, NMC provided services in the basement of a Presbyterian Church and was started to provide healthcare to persons who could not otherwise afford healthcare. The clinic later moved to the Foote-Hilyer Building on FAMU’s campus and later moved to the Lincoln Center in Frenchtown. In 2012, Neighborhood Medical Center won a marketing contest with local advertising firm Bow Stern, which provided NMC with $100,000.00 in marketing and advertising services. This award allowed the organization to re-brand itself and present to the community as Neighborhood Medical Center-“Your Medical Safety Net.” In 2014, NMC became a federally qualified health center (FQHC), which increases NMC’s capacity to provide service to patients who are uninsured, underinsured, or chronically homeless.

Details: A partnership between Citrus Health Network, The Children’s Trust, Miami-Dade County Public Schools, the Miami-Dade County Health Department allows Citrus School Health Teams to provide basic health services to students in Miami-Dade County Public Schools. Those services include first aid, health education, grade and age appropriate screenings, medication administration, behavioral and psychosocial assessments, counseling, and referrals to primary and behavioral health services. The Healthy Me Program helps to build and reinforce resiliency skills for substance abuse prevention and mental health promotion in children kindergarten through fourth grade. The program also includes a bully prevention curriculum.

Details: Clinica Luz Del Mundo / Light of the World Clinic, Inc. is an IRS recognized 501c3 organization. The clinic was established in 1989 by the late Dr. Erwin M. Vasquez and other community leaders with a mission to provide quality culturally sensitive health care and preventative medical services to the disadvantaged residents of Broward County. The clinic focuses its services on children and their families who are generally without insurance or financial resources to obtain the proper health care. In any given year, the clinic serves thousands of disadvantaged indigent, low income middle class and medically underserved men, women and children in Broward County. This is accomplished by our community outreach and the many volunteer doctors, specialists and medical professionals. The clinic reaches out to residential areas where there are at-risk residents and provides them monthly, quarterly and annual community-based health screenings and quality health care services in a sensitive manner without regard to ethnic origin or ability to pay. Details: The mission of Avicenna Clinic is to provide quality health care and related services to the unisnured residents of Bay County. It was founded by a group of dedicated health care professionals and staff concerned about the health and welfare of all the residents of Bay County. Services are offered primarily by volunteers providing comprehensive and dependable health care in a caring environment. Avicenna Clinic is established by the Islamic Understanding Institute of Panama City, Florida, also known as IUI. The mission of IUI is to enhance the understanding of Islam amongst people of all faiths by highlighting Islam's universal values and all encompassing principles, through educational programs and activities such as seminars and workshops. The IUI is a non-profit institute and has no affiliation to any political or religious intitute or organization.
