Clinic Details:Swope Health provides primary health care and behavioral health services throughout Greater Kansas City. We are a patient-centered medical home, nationally recognized by NCQA for our commitment to an integrated model of health care. We are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities and The Joint Commission. We opened in 1969 as Model Cities Health Corporation, part of President Lyndon Johnson’s Model Cities program. Our first clinic was in the basement of Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church. That first year, with 20 employees and a $100,000 budget, we served more than 2,000 patients. Today, Swope Health has grown to provide care for more than 40,000 patients in western Missouri and eastern Kansas. We are a Federally Qualified Health Center and Federal Tort Claims Act-deemed facility, recognized by the NCQA.

Details: The Contraceptive Choice Center (C3) is committed to providing reproductive and sexual health to teens and women in the best possible way. At C3 you can learn about birth control, get a new contraceptive method including IUDs and implants, receive testing for sexually transmitted diseases, or get a pregnancy test or emergency contraception. Our goal is to provide outstanding family-planning care long term, which means we will need to charge your insurance for healthcare services. If you do not have health insurance, you may qualify for a lower fee scale.

We provide hope by empowering women with the knowledge, tools and caring support they need to make an informed choice. We are a non-profit medical clinic providing confidential medical services that are free of charge and accurate information on all options regarding unplanned pregnancy, including abortion, adoption and parenting. All of our services are provided in a warm and private atmosphere. Unlike other clinics, we do not benefit financially from any choice you make. We have many resources and referral services available in order to meet the challenges and needs of every client, regardless of circumstance.
